This is actually an interesting time capsule to the 90s when a popular idea was that fractal math would end up being able to describe complex behavior. It ended up being bunk, like other ideas from the 90s featured in the this game. But I can see why it was fun to imagine some kind of deeper understanding of fractal math would come down and bestow us with knowledge to solve intractable problems.

beyond earth has immature and crude and low effort quotes when you discover a technology. and the recent civilization games are just cartoonish in my opinion. i have them but i never play them. maybe i should of watched a video about them before i bought them.

By far the best and only intelligent civilization game i have played. Love the dark vibes and the genius writing and lore. Strongly recommend people to read Immanuel Kant critique of pure reason, aristotle nicomachean ethics, and of course Nietzsche to cast it in a new light, and also some of the authors with audio quotes because these people were geniuses in their insight

There needs to be a graphical remaster of this game. Improve the AI and reanimate the secret project videos, but otherwise change nothing.
